Occupational therapy helps people to maintain or regain their independence in everyday life. It is used for children, adults and older people who have impaired ability to act due to illness, injury or developmental delay. The goal of occupational therapy is to promote individual abilities and to sustainably improve quality of life.
The focus is on everyday activities that are specifically trained. These include, for example, movement sequences, concentration, coordination or perception. The therapy is individually tailored to the needs of the patients and is guided by personal goals and life situations.
Occupational therapy is used for neurological diseases, orthopaedic complaints, psychological stress or developmental disorders, among other things. Through targeted exercises and therapeutic measures, it helps to strengthen existing resources and develop new skills.
Thanks to modern treatment methods and personal care, occupational therapy offers effective support towards greater independence, safety, and quality of life in everyday life.
