Please bring your e-card and a photo ID with you on your first visit to the paediatric outpatient clinic and, in the case of a newborn, a replacement receipt from your health insurance company. If you have not yet received your e-card or have forgotten it, we ask you to deposit a deposit of € 100.

Free paediatric vaccinations

Grippe Imfpung

Influenza vaccination (Influvac)

The real flu (influenza) is a contagious viral disease with sudden fever, cough and severe pain. It is usually worse than a cold.

Infection occurs through Droplets (coughing, sneezing, talking, kissing) or Contact with contaminated objects. The disease breaks out after hours or a few days.

  • Children from the 6th month of lifenat can receive the vaccination. 
  • When vaccinating children up to the age of 9 for the first time, two vaccinations at least four weeks apart are recommended. 
  • After that, one dose per season is recommended

The vaccination is only available free of charge during the flu season (end of March)!

MMR Impfung

Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination

Measles, mumps and rubella are viral diseases that can have serious consequences and in rare cases can be fatal be.

Symptoms are Fever, cold, cough, conjunctivitis and a red skin rash.

Infection occurs through Droplet infection

The measles vaccination is known as MMR combination vaccination given. Two vaccinations are recommended from the age of 9th month, ideally before the child starts school.

  • First vaccination in the 1st year of life: second vaccination after 3 months.
  • First vaccination after the 1st year of life: Second vaccination after 4 weeks at the earliest.
  • Missed vaccinations can be made up at any time.
HPV Impfung

HPV vaccination (Gardasil)

HPV stands for Human papilloma viruses. These viruses can cause inflammation and skin changes in the genital area and sometimes lead to Cancerespecially Cervical cancer.

HPV is caused by Direct contact with mucous membranes transmitted. Men and women have the same risk, so the vaccination makes sense for both.

  • The HPV vaccination provides the best protection before the first sexual contact. The HPV vaccination is free for people from their 9th to 30th birthday. For people from their 21st to 30th birthday, the following applies: the first vaccination in the free catch-up vaccination programme is possible until 31.12.2025 take place. Second vaccinations are free of charge in the catch-up vaccination programme until 30.06.2026.

Recommended immunisation schedule (9-30 years):

  1. Dose: from 9 years
  2. Dose: 6-12 months after the first

For 15- to 30-year-olds, the 2-dose regimen is recommended off-label.

  • If the 2nd dose was given too early (less than 5 months apart), a 3rd dose is necessary (6-8 months later).

6-Fach-Impfung

6-fold vaccination (InfanrixHexa) Basic immunisation

In the 3rd, 5th and 11th to 12th month of life the vaccination is given with a Six-fold vaccine  against

  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus (lockjaw),
  • Pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Polio (infantile paralysis)
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib)
  • Hepatitis B

recommended and is bis 5 years free of charge.

  • Basic immunisation as part of the 6-fold vaccination in the 1st year of life (1st dose recommended as soon as possible in the 3rd month of life):

    2+1 scheme: 2nd dose after 2 months, 3rd dose 6 months after the 2nd dose.

Pneumokokken Impfung

Pneumococcal vaccination (Vaxneuwance)

Pneumococci are bacteria that develop in the Nasopharynx and sometimes go unnoticed. In infants and small children, they can serious illnesses such as septicaemia, meningitis or pneumonia trigger. Infection occurs through Droplet infection.

  • This vaccination is recommended for all children and are included in the free vaccination programme up to the age of 2. Vaccinations should be administered in the 3rd, 5th and 12th-14th month of life.
Rotavirus Impfung

Rotavirus oral vaccination (Rotarix)

Rotavirus is caused by Smear or droplet infection and often causes Emetic diarrhoea in infants under 2 years of age. Symptoms usually appear after 1-3 days.

The vaccination significantly reduces the risk of severe, potentially life-threatening diarrhoea.

The rotavirus vaccination included in the free vaccination programme is usually given from the age of administered as an oral vaccination after the 6th week of life. 

  • 1st vaccination: in the 7th week of life
  • 2nd vaccination: in the 3rd month of life (from 4 weeks after the 1st vaccination)
  • 3rd vaccination: in the 4th month of life (from 4 weeks after the 2nd vaccination) - depending on the vaccine

The vaccination series should be completed at the age of 24 weeks be.

4-fach-Impfung

4-fold vaccination (Repevax)

In the school, between the 6 and 9 years of age one Booster vaccination with a Quadruple vaccine against Diphtheria, tetanus, Whooping cough and polio. 

The vaccination is from 6-15 years free of charge.

Hepatitis Impfung

Hepatitis B (Engerix B)

The hepatitis B vaccination is part of the free childhood vaccination programme in Austria. The vaccination is given together with the vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, whooping cough and haemophilus influenzae B as a 6-fold vaccination.

The booster vaccination is given from the age of 7 and is free of charge up to the age of 7-15.

Meningokokken Impfung

Meningococcus C (Nimenrix)

Meningococci are life-threatening bacterial infectionswhich can take a particularly severe course, in a few cases even leading to death. 

Meningococci can cause Meningitis (inflammation of the meninges) or Blood poisoning (septicaemia) cause.

  • The free of charge For children from 11 to the age of 13 free of charge as part of the child vaccination programme.

Vaccinations for adults

We also offer vaccinations against TBE and HPV for adults! 

The HPV vaccination is free from 9-30 years until the end of 2025.

For people aged between 21 and 30, the following applies: the first vaccination in the free catch-up vaccination programme can be given until 31.12.2025. Second vaccinations in the catch-up vaccination programme are free of charge until 30.06.2026.
